Tiziana Pironi is Full Professor of History of Pedagogy at the Department of Education Sciences at the University of Bologna, where she coordinates the Doctorate in Pedagogical Sciences. Since 2016 to 2018 she was President of the Centro Italiano per la Ricerca Storico-Educativa (CIRSE) and is Principal Investigator of the PRIN 2019/2022 project "Maria Montessori: from the past to the present. Reception and implementation of her educational method in Italy on the 150th anniversary of her birth".
